About the Author

Joe Pranevich has been writing about the Linux kernel since 1998 and has been a paid contributor to Linux Magazine, Linux Today, and a number of other websites and magazines. In his day job, he is the Director of Technology & Operations for Lycos, Inc. He is also a teaching fellow and guest lecturer for Harvard University's Extension program's “Network Protocols and Internet Architecture”
